Subscription renewal

Post by Adreno » 20 Jan 2012, 18:21

Hi, I just renewed my subscription. I clicked on the USD option because I wanted to use a USD credit card. To my surprise, I was charged in GBP? This makes no sense whatsoever. Now my credit card has been charged with $27.56 + $1 despite the fact that in the receipt it says $25.99. Is this a way for PayPal to steal from its customers or something?

Hello,

this is the first time I heard this. Maybe it was a bug of Paypal.

What alternative could I propose?

After 10 angry emails PayPal agreed to refund me 1€ (the other $1 was a temporary charge)

You could look at Moneybookers (Skrill). It's very popular among gamblers and I've found it has lower fees than Neteller and PayPal.
