Chrome does not support for the moment to add options from Add-Ons in the context menu.
So its currently not possible to port the Add-On to Chrome as long Google does not offer an API solution for this.

Currently the Chrome API does not support to add elements in the context menu like in Firefox.
So its currently not really possible to port the Extension.

Can you give an example of something that is using that "different way" in Chrome, so I can take a peek?

For Safari I have acquired a developer license which was free from Apple but there is no work yet.
For Chrome: There is still missing a function in the API to be able to add items to the context menu. As long Google does not provide a full complete API to do the same things like in Firefox, its not possible to port the application.
