Dear TrashMail customers,
we had today a very serious OpenSSL bug in our production system (see http://www.openssl.org/news/secadv_20140407.txt) that the system needed to be updated to the latest operating system version with the newest updates.
Millions of servers were concerned!
So first web service was shutdown at 08:45 CET o'clock to prevent that customer data could be leaked outside.
Then a huge upgrade has been made as the update on the older operating system had no OpenSSL bug fix. After that, TrashMail.net was no more working, and a blank page with HTTPS error 500 was coming out.
An investigation has been made to fix out the problem, as the new operating system version has changed, and some modules were missing in the web application service.
Finally at approximately 12:00 CET o'clock the web service was back online.
The SMTP mail server was working mostly without outage.
