Typo in real address

Hi,
Today i tried to create an account for trashnail but made a mistake in my real hotmail adress( i missed a letter out) So I will not get the confirmation email. I tried to re register but then was told the user name I want is taken- by me I suppose. How do I register and keep my user name?
