No suitable confirmation mail (so passwd) using ff-plugin

Post by trashmailforum » 20 Sep 2007, 21:23

Hello dear trashmailers,

when I create a new trash-mail with my firefox-plugin ( Firefox/2.0.0.6 with plugin 1.0.8 ), i do not get a suitable confirmation mail - instead I get something like the mail below (which looks like an encrypted? or foreign coded mail). I can't read it in clear text with either mailprogram (evolution) nor with an webmail-account. So I do not get a readable password back from trashmail-service for login and administration.

Has anybody an idea or can anybody confirm this problem ???

Thanks in advance
Andreas

Its strange, many users complains this, and I think it has something to do with one of my last system updates on the server.
However there is a workaround to get your login and password link for the login and administration:
Send a simple message to the trashmail.net email address you created, it will forward one email to your real email address. Then look in the header of the email, you will find the field:
X-TrashMail-Modify_Link: https://ssl.trashmail.net/?login=1&inpu ... passwd=yyy

:D
I will try to find out what is happening...

Ok I found maybe the problem:
Some email clients like Gmail did not decoded base64 encoding if somewhere in the header there was a \r\n instead of \n.
See http://www.bigroom.co.uk/blog/php-mail-and-gmail

I fixed the problem, please retry if its now working.
