Re: Good additional domain name for trashmail.net
Most free services got Slogan which is: "You don't pay, we don't give a s*it what happens". We don't even read your feedback. Feel free to send it do /dev/null. Getting real domain names is great option. Do you have some especial name in mind? It would be nice to get feedback from users. I laughed a...

Re: Idea how to decrease spam
Its not clear if the SMTP server software first gives priority to accepting connections before handling the incoming queue or if the incoming connection were blocking real email incoming connections. However with the new speed improovement I can now at any time increase the number of accepting conn...

Re: fakemail.dyndns.org bounces
I think this is so important issue that there should be separate thread for this matter.
You'll find it here: https://ssl.trashmail.net/forum/viewtop ... p=586#p586

Re: Idea how to decrease spam
Hmm. Nice idea. I would prefer having short prefixes just like xkj.trashmail.net. You could change that once / year. And it could be enabled by default. For most of temporary use that would make no difference. skdjflasdjflkdskf@sdf.trashmail.net. But if user wants to. It should be possible to get lo...

Good additional domain name for trashmail.net
I think its time to remove fakemail.dyndns.org and replacing it with a new real domain name. Any suggestion what it could be? I think it would be good to take a serious name, not like trashmail, more somehing like corp.biz or something like this. I agree. Something short that looks nice. ;) I would...

Re: New account creation is very slow
This thread was about system being slow. I don't why, but this forum is extremely slow. Most requests take up to two minutes . Which is way of from "user is getting really annoyed because of slowness" chart. When I press Submit button to send this post. I'm going to grab a cup of coffee before post ...

Re: New account creation is very slow
How about instead of looking for "post" button you would look for text "send email". It'll fix the first problem. And yes, you're right there is no way to change password at the moment. For some reason I haven't ever even though about that. Because I prefer clicking login link. And if I have lost it...

New account creation is very slow
It'll take more than three minutes to create new account. So there must be something wrong?
Could you take alook what's wrong.
Some users might think that system isn't working at all. Because it's a very long delay. It should be something less than 100ms.
- Thanks!

Re: Email forward fails... [Trashmail.net downtime]
Correct, I did not yet had the time to analyse the problem, but it seems that somebody has done a mail bomb or it was an infinite loop due to a software error in trashmail. 99,99% of this mails in the queue was made for one destination. Yep, this time you shuold take a while to analyse situation. B...

Email forward fails... [Trashmail.net downtime]
It seems that email forwarding is failing. Also sending email from trashmail.net doesn't work. So out going smtp traffic from trashmail.net is not working right now. Just to let you know! I hope it'll be fixed soon. Also I would like to inform you that https is for some reason pretty slow for this s...

Yes, but giving that information out is also regulated. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/21/AR2008012101340.html As we chatted year a go or something. So you are required to maintain logs but you're also required to keep it private. Just like banks has to do. Giving it ou...

Re: IP adresses saved for 6 months at the 1. January 2008
Mr. Horst Köhler signed the law that force internet sites to save IP addresses for 6 months (to be checked by the police). TrashMail is hosted by a german company at Germany and is forced to do this at the 1. January 2008../quote]]/quote]]/quote] IMHO: Because this isn't anonymizing service that do...

Next step would be reading or other things. Yeah. And you also have message database ready as queue feature... ;) It's bit more UI magic and it's done. (Simple version) I don't know. I like trashmail being forwarding service. But naturally ssl protected web-mail with ssl/tsl smtp functions (like tr...
