Re: Spam really increased

The average spam rate is now above 250 mails per minute. I just saw over 600 spams per minute. Its interesstings it grow up and up... :D I really hope that you won't encounter same problem as so many other temp email address services have encountered. Over time (a few years) spam traffic has grown ...

Could you give some kind of hint what kind of services you're planning?

Even to-do etc forums can give some clue.

Re: Charset mismatch

Is header information now ok for charset encoding? It was missing earlier? Answer - Nope. It seems that encoding information is missing. So now email clients are using their DEFAULT charset which often isn't UTF8. Could you please add encoding information to headers, so email programs would know tha...

Re: SSL secured encrypted messaging (thought play)

Additionally you can use TOR as client and a good GnuPG Firefox Add-On for this. What do you think about putting a forum as a hidden TOR service? (.onion domain name) Actually there has been discussion about TOR being unsafe. But that only is problem with UNSECURE web-services. Then exit node can s...

Re: fakemail.dyndns.org bounces

DynDNS and constant reactivation sucks.

You should be disable fakemail.dyndns.org forwarding for trashmail.net. So users using it get to know that it's not working anymore. Or better include some kind of warning to incoming messages. So it doesn't suddenly stop working.

SSL secured encrypted messaging (thought play)

I just want to inform users, that using Trashmail.net forum as secure email is funny but working idea. Because trashmail's forum is SSL protected. You can use PM feature to transmit trusted messages if you just trust the adminitrator. With traditional email there are so many security issues. It's ju...

Re: fakemail.dyndns.org bounces

It's working again. I reclaimed it so somebody else can't reclaim it and potentially abuse it. It also redirects to trashmail.net if being accessed with browser. Admin, let me know if you want login information. I still recommend that nobody uses this domain anymore, because it'll be freed again eve...

Re: fakemail.dyndns.org bounces

How about storing passwords somewhere safe? And NOT using password recovery. I just mentioned in another thread that's it's way stupid to use password recovery at all.

Afaik, there should be someone with bit more authority than "some random user" who posted something. Are you trying to hack speeding2@trashmail.net account? Laugh. I think that your credit card is being abused right now! Please contact us immediately: creditfrauds@trashmail.net Please include follow...

Re: Not Receiving Mail, Either

You can define forwarding address by your self when you're logged in. Asking to change forwarding of some address to some other address is social engineering attack. So there is what so ever no reason why admins should do it. But there are plenty of reason why they shouldn't do it. I'm sorry, I have...

Re: Not Receiving Mail, Either

I tried re-creating 'Forum_Registrations@Trashmail.net' I suggest you use random / unique addresses. Using "generic" addresses easily leads to situation that someone else reclaims that address when you're not using it anymore. So forum_Registrations is quite stupid idea IMHO. How about zfrmst-djkl@...

Re: Hold mails now only one week

Afaik, it shouldn't affect too much performance.

Inevitable actions just happen sooner (dropping crap from queue).

But it'll for sure save disk space, if that's starts to become an issue.

Re: Change of message notifications

Absolutely fabulous! This is great, because now I can use local language as addition. All email senders doens't unfortunately understand english. And there is also another major benefit. For some countries that's nice benefit. It will for sure help with users using bayesian filters. At least in smal...

Re: Idea how to decrease spam

It seems that there are quite active spammers. Today I received spam to all of my 3 letter / number mailboxes. It tells that addresses aren't being harvested from newsgroups or from web-pages. All addresses are systematicly being spammed trough. Also messages came in alphabetical order and just in 5...
