Re: Comments aboutFeatures that are DONE & locked in To-

That new edit link in headers roxx. I love it. It's much better than the direct delete link which I often accidentally clicked. ;)

from email headers:

Pick lists on front page are too long

Reason why I suggested this is that I think current picklists are way too long. It's annoying to pick entries from those. Naturally if I could set my preferences by using bookmark with default values I wouldn't need to waste my time picking those selections. List selecting number of email and accout...

If this is what I THINK it is - that would allow for truly annon communications between two people? It's not a new idea. It's called pseudoanonymous remailer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penet_remailer I think first step would be protecting TRASHMAIL user information. By dropping all received line...

Re: Whitelist function

Yes. There are some aspects with whitelisting that require careful consideration. As we have discussed by email. I think it's especially important that the email sent to users that should whitelist it's own address is VERY clear. So it won't be ignored. As you might know, emails pointing to some sit...

Is there any progress with this whitelisting matter?

I'm just being curious.

Messaging isnt even pseudoanonymous as long as original received lines containing sender IP are maintained. So at least old received hearders should be discarded. I mean received headers telling how message ended to trashmail. Naturally that can be "fixed" by using tools like TOR http://tor.eff.org,...

I support truly anonymous messaging as long as it's not being used for illegal purposes. So TOS (terms of service) should clearly state that... 1. No user information is given out without (local, national) court order (for what so ever reason) 2. And all court requested user information is given out...

SSL support with email (ESMTP)

Many ESMTP services now support Encrypted email. Received: from XXX@XXX.XXX (xxx@xxx.xxx [nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by xxx.xxx.xxx (Postfix) with ESMTP id 37E8733C008 for <xxx@xxx.xxx>; Thu, 21 Dec 2006 22:08:00 +0...

Re: Support '+' in email addresses

This is already supported. Can you please specify what is not working? Or do you mean as source name? E.g. trash_mail@trashmail.net is also supported. The only thing which is not allowed are dots in the trashmail addresses because of the .reply. addresses. Ok. That's the reason... Now I know, so I ...

Re: @fakemail.dyndns.org = @trashmail.net

Remember that on fakemail.dyndns.org there is no backup MX 2 server. Usually that shouldn't have any meaning to normal user. It's just about that some servers have currently really short redelivery timeout (8 h is shortest that I have seen) and if service is down for some reason then some of email ...

Re: @fakemail.dyndns.org = @trashmail.net

Thanks! That's quite handy work-a-round. Btw. Will trashmail mail server allow to use ANY domain name? I have my own domain so I could point public.domain.com to smtp.trashmail.net and then get my mail processed by trashmail. This is especially interesting when you get whitelisting to work well. So ...

Re: Send as first E-Mails with TrashMail masked addresses

- Thanks!

Btw. when you send email it's like

Code: Select all

"trashmail-address-here" <trashmail-address-here@trashmail.net>
But when you reply to it it's only:

Code: Select all

<trashmail-address-here@trashmail.net>
I think the first style would be good all the time.

Broken attachments?

For some reasons row changes and attachments get broken when messages come trough trashmail. Any idea about that? Like I mentioned earlier spamgourmet, spambob or jetable doesn't do that. I just received message which has broken attachments. Or was it so that it's meant to broke html email and attac...
