When you write a message in the mailing list, then your email address is public and spammer will harvest them. Thats true. Naturally you can subscribe list to different address than the address you're using when writing to list. Then you don't suffer from white-listing problem. That's the method I ...

Ahem. IMHO! No body will use whitelisting with mailing-lists. But with other public addresses. For mailing list you can open address that you simply subscribe that list to and then that's it. There is usually no problem with spam, and if there is then the list is in some way very bad list.

Account re-activation fails in some cases...

Yep, and I confirmed it... I think you got a bug in the system. A) Create address A@trashmail.net -> hidden.a@domain.xxx B) Change address A@trashmail.net -> hidden.b@domain.xxx C) Delete address A@trashmail.net D) Try to re-create A@trashmail.net -> hidden.b@domain.xxx E) It fails. But re-activatio...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

AFAIK black listing is actually quite useless, when I tought it bit more. As you mentioned. There is always way to get around it. It's then better to use static whitelisting so users cant add addresses to list. My opinion is that it is much more important that message seems to be coming from the rec...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

10. Hmm how do you protect by the user who change their From header? In this case I suppose it should also be possible to black list special message content and IP address? Yep. As I mentioned, it's big hard to do. It was just an idea. But as you mention, it's kind of pointless. If sender is going ...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

One more thing. When I'm using whitelisting... Following information is missing from first message that comes trough: Btw. Key stuff is working perfectly. X-TrashMail-Forwards: 10000 of 10000 left X-TrashMail-Expire_Date: 23 December 2007 - 07:53:17 X-TrashMail-Modify_Link: XXX I don't know how you ...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

That he don't think that the website is broken. Hmm, how about saving confirmed urls for a while like two weeks or so, as long as you save mail in queue. Then you could tell that it's already been confirmed. This could also happen if someone whitelists from queue that message. - Comments? IMHO, thi...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

I will make changes that it would send only one feedback message for multiple messages by the sender, and one confirmation would be enough to send out all emails. Sounds very good. By the way I have added the X-TrashMail-Key field Excellent! If I have foobar@mymail.com and I would like to implement...

Re: New feature: Whitelisting!

I guess some of this stuff is general, some should be in bugs section and some other stuff in to do area. So, I'll simply put it here, with the announcment about these new features. 1.
